While racing is what we’re passionate about we also provide great venues for the whole community to host special events and functions.

For special occasions from weddings and cocktail events to birthdays and reunions we’ll help you find a space that works for you and your guests on the grounds of our beautiful racecourse.

If it's educational workshops or conferences you need to organise we can help you make it as stress free and user friendly as possible with plenty of parking and catering to suit your needs.

Hire will vary according to hours/days requested, prices begin at $80.

Smaller groups and outdoors events can also be catered for around the site at a number of picturesque locations.

NB: The Lakeview & Committee lounges can be combined as one.

Hours: Functions must close by Midnight and all guests must be off the premises by 12.30 am. 

Bookings: Are to be made through the Secretary’s office unless catering or alcohol is required.  In that case Classic Cuisine should be contacted see link www.classiccuisine.co.nz

 Bookings must be paid for in full prior to the function including a separate bond ranging from between $500-$1200. The bond will be refunded after the event subject to the premises being left in satisfactory condition.

Responsibility: The person or organisation booking the function is responsible for charges and other obligations with the conditions of hire.  It is the Hirer’s responsibility to keep their guests in the designated lounge areas only.

Breakages or Damage to RRC Property: These will be at the cost of the Hirer.

Catering:  You may supply your own catering food and non-alcoholic beverages, or we encourage you to contact Classic Cuisine at www.classiccuisine.co.nz who managed the Arawa Park catering.

Alcohol: The Rotorua Racing Club (RRC) does not hold a Liquor Licence.  The hirer will be required to use Classic Cuisine for their bar, regardless of whether it is supplied free or sold, unless arrangements have been made that are satisfactory RRC, to obtain your own liquor licence.

Cleaning: If you choose at the time of booking, to clean the lounge yourselves, and leave the lounge exactly the way it was found, there will be no further cleaning cost.  Should you elect for our Cleaner to clean, the lounge must still be left in a tidy state.  All rubbish must be placed in the bins provided.  Please ensure any broken glass is cleared and safely disposed of.

NB. The Club expect bottles and rubbish to be picked up outside of the lounge in the surrounding areas.  Horses are the number one priority on the racecourse and must not be put in any danger.
